Water Communion

The Water Communion, also called the Water Ceremony is the traditional ingathering service for many Unitarian Universalist congregations. Please bring water* from your Summer adventures to pour into a communal bowl. We’ll share what we’ve been doing and where we’ve been as we come together again in this intergenerational service.* If you were unable to collect water on your journey, tap water can stand in.

Global Conflict: Anniversary of 9/11

Cherie Mockli with Utah Health and Human Rights, will be speaking about her experiences assisting refugees cope with the effects of war and related traumas.  Her observations on the role of spirituality in surviving, coping, and healing are excellent fodder for considering our own lives and fortunes.

This Sunday we’ll be exploring the idea that there is no such thing as time and how we can tap into this timelessness.

The Poetry of Winnie the Pooh

We’re doing something different this month: all of the services will touch on that beloved childhood character, Winnie-the-Pooh. Logan City’s Poet Laureate Starr Coulbrooke will speak on the poetry of Pooh Bear.      

The Tao of Pooh

We’re doing something different this month: all of the services will touch on that beloved childhood character,  Winnie-the-Pooh. Drawing on the Tao of Pooh, this Sunday we will look at how Winnie-the-Pooh characters and their place the 100 Acre Woods serve as excellent examples to understand the basics of Taoism and provide broader lessons on joyful living.
