Bridging the Gap: Collaborating with Motivational Interviewing

Divisiveness and conflict are running high. We experience them in the public sphere, at work, home and elsewhere. Unfortunately, trying to resolve differences using logic and debate often antagonizes others and worsens the problem. Developed in 1983, Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a set of communication skills anyone can use to transform conflict into collaboration. The presentation will be interactive, encouraging participants to apply MI in their personal, professional, or activist work. Creating Safe Belonging – Pronouns and Gender Identity

We are pleased to welcome Evren (they/them) as our guest speaker. With a background in science, engineering, and project management, Evren (AKA Renn) has also dedicated much of their life to mentoring, education, and creating spaces where people can be fully themselves.
