October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month and this Sunday we will have a service on what it’s like ‘Living With Trauma’ given by Sondra Scott. Even though traumatic incidents themselves will not be discussed this service does cover a difficult topic, so please be aware it comes with a content or trigger warning. Invisible People: Asylees

Continuing the theme of honoring the experiences of “Invisible People”, CRIC will talk about asylum seekers here in Logan: their challenges, some stories, and the legal process they must navigate to eventually gain asylum in the United States. CAPSA’s connection to CVUU and The Cache Pride Center

Guest speaker Bethany Balady of CASPA, is a key partner in an amazing ongoing effort between Cache Pride Center (CVUU’s program for LBGTQA+ teens), CAPSA, and Fast Forward High School. In honor of April being sexual assault awareness month, Bethany will help us understand the broader context of how this community partnership — of which CVUU is an important piece — reaches out and supports vulnerable teens in our community.
