This Sunday (July 8) we’ll explore Maturity Matters with our summer visitors and everybody who knows the most popular folk songs of the 1960s–in essence, any and all of us who are intrigued by life’s important passages. We’ll draw from David Brooks’ “The Road to Character,” George Vaillant’s “Aging Well,” and Robert Fulghum’s “What On Earth Have I Done?” No special preparation is required for participation.
Please join us this Sunday to hear Dave Jenkins, CEO and founder of Conservice, speak about responsible business in Cache Valley. He mentioned that he would like there to be ample opportunity for this to be directed by our interests and questions. Please feel free to come with questions that relate to CVUU’s Principles and Values or your own related interests. For example, I will be asking “How can organizations or individuals better work with local businesses to promote environmental sustainability? What ways could we collaborate or apply pressure that might be successful in reaching these goals while still respecting the business as well?”
Please join us Sunday for our Fourth Sunday lecture series. Phil Collins, health educator from Bear River Mental Health will be presenting to us about suicide prevention.
This Sunday’s Lecture Series guest speaker will be Alex Ristorelli from Common Ground Outdoor Adventures, a local non-profit dedicated to providing outdoor experiences for persons of all abilities.
This service will address the issue of gun violence from a UU perspective. Please join us at 10am for an interesting examination and what I am sure will be an interesting discussion.
