Joe Kinzer, Ph.D., Community & Oral History Archivist and Curator of the Fife Folklore Archives at USU Libraries, will present Amplifying Voices: The Power of Oral Histories in Community Engagement. This talk explores how oral histories preserve personal narratives, foster interfaith dialogues, and empower communities. Drawing from projects like Resonant Care, which documents the experiences of music therapists, their clients, and communities, Dr. Kinzer will demonstrate how storytelling connects us and celebrates everyday lives. The presentation will include actionable steps for engaging with oral histories and amplifying underrepresented voices in your community.
