Rights vs Obligations: A UU Perspective on How to Be Better Citizens

This Sunday’s topic is based on the book “The Bill of Obligations” by Richard Haass, President of the Council on Foreign Relations. The book explores American citizenship responsibilities based on MLK’s ideas. Discussing rights, their limits, and the 10 obligations for good citizenship. Fire Communion

Join us January 7th for our Fire Communion. Many Unitarian Universalist congregations hold this ritual to bid farewell to the old year, and to release it. In the words of Rev. Elizabeth Harding, “The fire communion separates the end of the year from the beginning, helping us to put in perspective the joys and sorrows, the changes and transitions, the ups and downs of the year.
