The talk this Sunday is about how the fashion industry is unsustainable, the effects it has on the environment , and what we can do about it. So often, we’re disconnected from how the things we purchase are made, and we don’t get to see behind that curtain unless we dig into what’s going on. The Gift of Interdependence

The April 7th service will be a discussion on the gift of interdependence.  Our interconnectedness with each other and our planet is undeniable “May we love the earth not as an object—beautiful nature to pass through—but as a complex, miraculous subject that we build a relationship with.” Courtney Martin Our friendships shape, save and inspire us in ways too many to count. This form of interdependence is among our most treasured. But we rarely tell our friends how much being bound to them means. So this month, let’s tell them. Addiction Recovery

On March 24, Jeff Jones will discuss researched based biochemical repair for addiction recovery and the the family’s role in engaging a struggling loved one using drugs or alcohol, a loved one going back and forth between abstinence and problematic use and addressing problems in the family, even though their loved one has had months or years of abstinence. Jeff has been trained in Colorado as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Certified Addiction Counselor (CACIII), interventionist, and nutritional coach with the Academy for Addiction and Mental Health Nutrition. Get ready to wear green and sing your heart out! CVUU is excited to bring back the hootenanny format for its March 17 service. All are welcome to bring instruments and song ideas (within reason), and all levels of singing expertise are encouraged to join in for this raucous good time.
