YOGA: Part II

Join us this Sunday with our guest speaker Michael Sowder who will be presenting Part Two of his talk on the History and Philosophy of Yoga. We also have a special musical guest, Michael Mandrell. Susan Buffler will read a sermon prepared by the Reverend Scott Alexander, Minister of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Vero Beach, Florida. Rev.

The Unitarian Universalist Sources of our Living Tradition

Unitarian Universalist congregations affirm and promote seven Principles, which we hold as strong values and moral guides. We live out these Principles within a “living tradition” of wisdom and spirituality, drawn from sources as diverse as science, poetry, scripture, and personal experience.

Paganism

Our Sunday service will be a combination of a ‘This I Believe’ and some insight into pagan traditions relevant to this time of year. Sondra Scott will be sharing her thoughts with us. The “This I Believe” series provides an opportunity for members and friends of CVUU to reflect upon beliefs and core values that guide us in our daily lives and to share the diversity of beliefs of our congregation.

Philosophy of Yoga

Cache Valley Unitarian Universalists is a lay-led congregation. Rather than relying on a full-time minister, members and friends of our congregation and invited guests, give of their time and talents to provide our worship experience, mirroring the diversity each of us brings to this community.
