Summer Solstice Celebration

Celebrate the Summer Solstice with music and poetry. Cache Valley Unitarian Universalists is a lay-led congregation. Rather than relying on a full-time minister, members and friends of our congregation and invited guests, give of their time and talents to provide our worship experience, mirroring the diversity each of us brings to this community.

Flower Communion

Join us this Sunday for the annual Flower Communion Service. It would be wonderful if everyone could bring a cut flower or two with them to the service. The Flower Communion is an annual ritual that celebrates beauty, human uniqueness, diversity, and community. Originally created in 1923 by Unitarian minister Norbert Capek of Prague, Czechoslovakia, the Flower Ceremony was introduced to the United States by Rev. Maya Capek, Norbert’s widow. In this ceremony everyone in the congregation brings a flower. Each person places a flower on the altar or in a shared vase. Love Poetry Readings

Paganism

Our Sunday service will be a combination of a ‘This I Believe’ and some insight into pagan traditions relevant to this time of year. Sondra Scott will be sharing her thoughts with us. The “This I Believe” series provides an opportunity for members and friends of CVUU to reflect upon beliefs and core values that guide us in our daily lives and to share the diversity of beliefs of our congregation.
